Playing in the Unknown

After living in the same city for decades, my family and I were called to change it up. So we rented out our home, took our work online, and decided to live by the ocean in Mexico for a year. For a man used to living in the same place most of his life, this was quite a shift. We lived in a small community in a fishing village and enjoyed the space to explore and expand. I began most of my days waking up with the sun, walking down the ocean to float, then drinking a cup of coffee. After that, each day presented its own adventures for food, community, and play. These reflections surfaced from my experience of living a life removed from the status quo but connected to my natural surroundings.
